We do everything we can to create a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment that is conducive to producing your best work. We value and respect your opinions and want you to feel empowered to make your own decisions.
As much as possible we give you the flexibility and responsibility to manage your own schedule within your agreed core hours. We don’t expect you to check in when you are off work or to work late unless previously arranged for a specific purpose.
In return, we trust that you will work to your best ability with your best effort during your working hours.
Your job is an important part of making your life better and easier, but it isn’t your whole life. We understand that life happens during the working day and that you’ll sometimes have other commitments but we expect that you’ll give plenty of notice where you can to minimise the impact this has on everyone else.
Very infrequently, work needs to happen during your time off. On these rare occasions we’d love to know you can help us out.
Ownership, accountability and trust
Central tenets of our values and working agreement.
What is ownership?
- Taking ownership is about taking initiative to create positive results.
- It means caring about the outcome of your work and how it affects the company.
- It’s being accountable for the decisions you make and timeliness of the work you deliver.
- It means bringing ideas to help improve the business long-term.
How do we help you take ownership?
- We trust you to use your good judgement to make the right decisions.
- We help and support you in solving problems.
- We enable you to evolve and shape the work you do.
- We encourage you to choose how to achieve your tasks.
- We provide constructive feedback on your work.
Our code of conduct
Our code of conduct outlines how we should behave while interacting with co-workers, clients, suppliers and others. We should always be;
- Inclusive - help people feel comfortable and included.
- Honest - always be truthful and transparent.
- Kind - be polite, friendly and understanding.
- Considerate - think about how our actions might affect others.
- Respectful - treat others how we want to be treated ourselves.
Valuing diversity
We believe that people from varying gender, age, religion, race, ethnicity, cultural background, sexual orientation, religion, languages, education and abilities, can bring fresh ideas, thinking and approaches which make the way work is undertaken more effective and efficient.
We have previously invested in women switching careers to come into tech and we'd like to further diversify our team. For more about why diversity in tech matters read this.
Flexible working
Flexible working is at the heart of the way we work, not just as a response to the recent pandemic situation. This means we can arrange your working hours and days to suit you. As much as possible we give you the flexibility and responsibility to manage your own schedule within our core working hours of 10am-4pm.
Everyone has the option to work remotely with a 'blended working' model. This means a mixture of working remotely and in-person.
For those days you are in the office we are based in a friendly co-working space just 5 minutes walk from Hove beach with rooftop views down to the sea.
We often have Friday beers and regular ‘working’ breakfasts / lunches as well as quarterly in person meet ups.
